If you enjoy working with children, like working outdoors, or prefer light housekeeping duties, Encompass Early Education and Care may have a place for you.  Please consider sharing your time, energy, and skill with us!

Encompass has a variety of opportunities for volunteers:

1.  Work with children (minimum age requirement and a criminal background check required).

  • Help with games, read to children, serve and clean up at meal/snack times, or work on arts/crafts projects.  Volunteers also accompany children on field trips, help with homework, and do reading readiness activities with the children.

2.  Work outdoors.

  • Share your time keeping our buildings and grounds looking good for staff, children, their parents, and our customers.  Tasks include spreading sand or woodchips, painting, raking, and general upkeep.  Carpentry skills are also beneficial to Encompass.

3.  Work at light housekeeping tasks.

  • Help with office work such as copying, stuffing envelopes, sorting, and mailing at our Encompass Business Office or one of our centers.  You could share time after school at a center doing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning tables/chairs, sanitizing toys, sweeping, scrubbing, or other basic chores.  Special jobs such as sewing, mending, or doing carpentry work would also help Encompass and Encompass children.

4.  Work at events.

  • Help at the Big Event for Little Kids with children's activities such as face painting, bean bag toss, elipto art, etc.  Help with food and refreshments, signage, and booth set up.  Load and unload trucks, set up and take down equipment, hang signage, etc.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact Katharine Kulkoski at (920) 469-0283 ext. 110 or email KKulkoski@encompasseec.org or print a copy of our Volunteer Interest form.

If you are over 60 years of age, you might be interested in joining the Foster Grandparent Program.  Encompass has 25 Foster Grandparents who give individual attention to children, especially those who may have special needs or may require one-on-one attention.  These senior citizens are volunteers who receive a stipend and commit to approximately 15 to 40 hours per week.  To learn more about this program, click the Related link, Foster Grandparents.
